Lockdown Stories
The Lockdown Stories creative writing project took place over a few months in summer and autumn 2021. The project consisted of regular bi-weekly writing sessions at the Volunteer Hall, led by writer and tutor of Creative Writing for Wellbeing Gilly Beckett. During the sessions, local residents discussed their life experiences during the Covid pandemic and took part in creative writing exercises to stimulate their imagination and help them write their own stories. As a result, an anthology of lockdown stories was produced and “It was the worst of times, it was the best of times” was published in a limited run, which was available at the Christmas Market at the Volunteer Hall in November 2021. We are now delighted to share a digital version of the publication which you can download and read in your own time. We hope you’ll enjoy it!
