A Heart for Duns is happy to support Jacek Robert Zwizchlewski at A1 Border Moves & Storage. Jacek will be using his own resources, covering fuel and ferry costs, to transport these supplies to Poland. There are currently thousands fleeing their country of Ukraine to seek refuge in Poland. Below are all the details you need to help make a difference.

The drop-off point in Duns is the Volunteer Hall. It will be open for donations between 6pm and 8pm on the following days in March:

Items needed
Thermal blankets, sleeping bags, good quality bedding
Sleeping mats, military mattresses, good quality blankets
Good quality raincoats (only clothing please)
Personal hygiene products
Toothpaste, toothbrushes, wet wipes, nappies
Sanitary items
Paper towels
Antibacterial fluids, medical spirit
Disposable and reusable face masks
Dressings, liquid for disinfecting and disinfecting wounds
Bandages of dressings Celox (i.e. granules for quick staunching blood and gauze)
Turnstiles, or tourniquets to stop blood
Field tents, camp beds
Coal furnaces
Cooking cauldrons
Microfiber towels
Reusable tableware sets, i.e. plates and cutlery
Batteries of various sizes, candles, flashlights
Food: all kinds of instant food (i.e. instant soups to be poured with boiling water, etc.), breakfast cereals, energy bars, dried fruits, pasta.
