Duns Beer & Music Weekender: 12-14 Sept 2025
Brilliant Music, Food, and Beer – there’s only one place to be this September!
Our annual Beer & Music Weekender promises to be another cracker as we bring you beers from across Scotland thanks to the award-winning Winton Brewery, which will soon have you swaying and dancing along to the THREE DAYS of amazing music! And, of course, we’ll have plenty of food to help keep you full! Our regular bar will also be open, with a full selection of non-alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as wines and spirits!

NOTE: Online sales close at 1pm on Friday 12th September, after which you can buy passes on the door!
The event is family friendly, so is open to all, however under 18s must be accompanied by an adult, and under 16s are only allowed at the venue until 9pm due to licensing restrictions. Across the whole weekend we’ll have music from multiple genres and artists to suit all tastes!
GETTING TO/FROM THE EVENT:
- CAR: parking is available in the BHA (Berwickshire Housing Association) Car Park just round the corner from the Volunteer Hall on Newtown Street and is free. Please avoid parking on Earlsmeadow or Langtongate.
- BUS: You can get to Duns Volunteer Hall via bus services 60 (Berwick-Galashiels) all weekend, or 32 (Berwick-Duns) and 34 (Coldstream-Duns) on Friday only. More details here: https://www.bordersbuses.co.uk/services
- BUS (On Demand – must pre-book): The replacement for PINGO is operated by Teviot Taxi and covers the Duns area where a journey on a bus isn’t available: Friday 14:00 – 21:00 / Saturday and Sunday 08:00 – 21:00. Doors open at 6pm, and we’ll get cracking at 7pm with our opening act Urang Matang & The Melodites!
At 8:30 Jordi Fox and band will take to the stage, and Heyzeus will be on at 10pm to bring the night to a close!

Mon Then! 5% NEIPA:
Our New England IPA Mon Then! is fruity, hazy, hoppy, packed with flavour, and extremely gluggable! Genuinely one of our best beers yet!

Peelywally 4.5% IPA (Gluten Free):
Our IPA is refreshing, carefully hopped and delicious. There’s a reason this is our best seller!
With citrus and floral notes from the Simcoe and Centennial hops, the flavours dance around your mouth like a Scotsman with a wasp up his kilt! Vegan-friendly and now gluten free too!
Oh Ya Bassa 5% Peach and Raspberry Sour
Our thirst-quenching, palate-cleansing peach and raspberry sour beer is all three days of summer in a can. Soured with Lachancea yeast and bursting with peach and raspberry puree, it has a perfect balance of fruity sourness and soury fruitness.
Fruitier than a cauld wind up yer kilt!
Taps Aff 4.5% lager (Gluten Free):
Taps Aff is made using the finest German Pilsner malt. Conditioned for six (long!) weeks to ensure our clean, crisp no-nonsense lager tantalises your taste buds. Not a dry seat in the house. Taps Aff: clothing optional. Vegan-friendly and gluten free too!
Barry Swally 3% Table Beer (Gluten Free):
Easy-drinking table beer with a soft, pillowy body that belies its low ABV. Dry-hopped with Citra and El Dorado, giving predominant aromas and flavours of sweet citrus, supported by notes of lychee, melon, pineapple and mango
GUEST BEERS:
Everyday Pale Ale, 3.8% (Gluten Free):
Brewery: Jiddlers Tipple, London
Beautiful aromas of tropical and citrus fruit on the nose give way to a
gorgeous malty backbone. A velvety, soft mouthfeel and restrained
bitterness complete this truly sessionable pale ale.
Juicy Chug IPA, 3.8% (Gluten Free)
Brewery: Jiddlers Tipple, London
A marriage of sweet, succulent apricots and Mosaic and Idaho7 hops! It’s also chocked full of oats and wheat giving it a soft and luscious mouthfeel. Juicy, fruity and refreshing.
80 Shilling, 4.5% ABV
Brewery: Moonwake, Edinburgh
TOFFEE – FIG – RAISIN Moonwake has added a bit of Kiwiana (A
sense of NZ pop culture) to the Scottish classic, Eighty Shilling. A
malt blend of Double Roasted Crystal, Special Belgium and
Melanoidin play together, creating a deep reddish brown hue and
full body.
Leith Helles, 4% ABV
Brewery: Moonwake, Edinburgh
Inspired by our favourite continental Lagers, we have emulated the
classic Bavarian style with an extended conditioning time of eight
weeks. With delicate hopping of Saaz & Cascade resulting in an
impeccably clean and sessionable beer.
Brownie Hunter, 4.9% ABV
Brewery: Wilde Child, Leeds
Chocolate Fudge Brownie Stout.
A classic low percentage stout with added lactose, cocoa powder
and fudge brownie flavouring for a super smooth ‘dessert in a
glass’ experience.
Sicilian Lemon Radler, 2.5% ABV
Brewery: Left Handed Giant, Bristol
A light and fragrant pale ale base, blended with Sicilian lemonade.
Expect a sweet, juicy dose of lemon, mellow bitterness and a
thirst-quenching hit of zest to finish.
Traditional Scottish Cider, 4.4% ABV
Brewery: Thistly Cross, Dunbar
Our most popular cider. This is smooth, balanced and lightly sparkling with a clean apple finish. Satisfying and sessionable.
Scottish Fruits Cider, 4% ABV
Brewery: Thistly Cross, Dunbar
Handpicked strawberries, elderflowers and blackcurrants make our cider blush. It’s floral, fruity and Scottish to the core.
