Duns and District Business Forum
Duns is a great place to live and do business. Today we face great opportunities and serious challenges. Our business community could provide great ideas and solutions that accelerate the opportunities and help resolve the challenges.
Duns and District Business Forum can generate ideas and actions that will grow Duns’ economy and create more opportunities for its residents. The Business Forum provides our business community with an opportunity to engage meaningfully with other businesses, community organisations and others in the local community. Attendees come together and discuss local and national matters in order to understand their impact for the future of the area. The Business forum aims to drive economic development, community partnerships and engagement for the benefit of all residents of Duns and District.
All businesses operating in Duns and District are welcome to join. The membership is free. To join, please email marketing@aheartforduns.org.

Background information
A Spotlight on Duns event hosted by the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce in 2021 showed some interest in the formation of a business forum for Duns and surrounding areas. Following that meeting, A Heart for Duns commissioned and conducted a public survey aimed at local businesses. Following the positive results of the survey and various discussions in Duns and at the AHFD Board meetings, the first meeting for businesses operating in Duns and District was organised in May 2022 to discuss the formation of a Business Forum for Duns.
A Heart for Duns (AHFD) supported the formation of a Business Forum for Duns and District by offering initial resources to help the Business Forum to form and to define a purpose. A Heart for Duns continues to provide a space to meet at the Volunteer Hall, facilitation of the meetings and secretariat.
