Our Christmas Walking Treasure Hunt is a bit of fun to get people out and about over the festive season whether in family groups or with friends – the choice is yours. (However, you MUST participate within the social distancing guidelines laid down by the Scottish Government at all times.) You can participate any time between 10am on Friday 24 December up until 6pm on Sunday 2 January.
 
INSTRUCTIONS: 

• Up to 6 people can take part within your team if more than 1 family, OR, 
• As many people that are within your family bubble can form a team. 
• Please remember this is for all ages. 
• Please ensure your contact details/team name are on your entry form. 
• All completed Answer Sheets must be:  
  emailed to: admin@aheartforduns.org (they can be scanned/photographed), OR, posted through the letterbox on the blue side door of the Volunteer Hall. 
• Closing date/time for entries:  no later than 6.00pm Sunday 2 January. 
• You can actually do the hunt over more than 1 day – split it as you want. 
• All the clues should be in the correct order on the Questions & Answers sheet. 
• Whilst the Route below gives a ‘Starting Point’ it is up to you where you start and finish when you’re out and about. 

ROUTE:  

• Please be aware: all the Questions should be in order of the route. 
• Start at the Christmas tree in Market Square- look around for the first answer 
• Cross to The Hungry Spot- then walk towards the Volunteer Hall, stopping as needed 
• Keep going along South Street & Langtongate until you reach the old Primary school 
• Turn left at the old Primary School and head towards the boardwalk 
• At the boardwalk turn right and head towards the High School 
• Go past the High School continue until you reach the Clockmill to Grueldykes road 
• Turn right and head towards Clockmill 
• At Clockmill cross the road safely and turn right towards the Primary School 
• After the steps up to the Primary school cross the road safely  
• Keep heading back into Duns past Reivers Garage 
• When you reach the end of old Primary School cross the road safely- head into Duns  
• Keep going past the Fire station and Jim Clark Museum 
• Before you get to Gourlays Wynd cross safely over Newtown Street 
• Keep going towards Castle Street- past the back of the Coop 
• At Castle Street turn right towards Market Square 
• When you reach the Christmas tree in Market Square you are finished
